Communications Specialist

Blizzard Entertainment Europe is looking for an experienced English language communications specialist with excellent written and oral communication skills to join its public relations team near Paris, France.

Location: Velizy, France (southwest of Paris)
Permanent work contract
Starting Date: Immediate
Reports to: European Public Relations Manager
Brands: Blizzard Games

• Write and edit - often to very short deadlines:
  • Messages for the community forums and web site
  • Press releases, corporate communications, and online materials about Blizzard products and the company
  • Communications for the Blizzard intranet
• Be responsible for obtaining the necessary approvals for written materials
• Participate in the PR activities for Blizzard in Europe
• Provide counsel to leadership regarding incoming media requests
• Correspond with the press as a representative of Blizzard as needed
• Conduct international press tours as necessary
• Additional travel as necessary
• Additional PR responsibilities as necessary
• Additional writing projects as necessary
• Demo Blizzard games to press when needed
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Able to quickly compose and edit a variety of creative and business-oriented texts that meet company standards, on deadline
• Possess excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills, while maintaining an ability to always stay focused on the work at hand
• Able to confidently communicate about Blizzard products with the press and public
• Passionate gamer and extensive knowledge of Blizzard games
• Extremely detail-oriented and driven to consistently meet deadlines
• Experience in public relations, marketing, journalism, or business or equivalent work experience required
• 2-5 years PR or journalism experience
• Highly organized
• Ability to write in English to an exceptionally high standard
