Assistant PR Manager, Europe

Blizzard Entertainment Europe is looking for an Assistant Public Relations Manager to join its in-house PR team near Paris, France. Clear, concise communication skills and a passion for Blizzard games are a must.

Location: Velizy, France (southwest of Paris)

Reports to: PR Manager, Europe
Countries to work with: Europe
Brands: Blizzard Games (Diablo, StarCraft, Warcraft and World of Warcraft)

• Provide tools and guidance to country-based public relations managers
• Work with the public relations managers to create country-specific pr plans in line with the European strategy
• Provide support to the regional PR managers to successfully execute their local PR plans
• Create and maintain pan-European media lists
• Maintain the Blizzard Europe Press Extranet
• Work with and guide the territory PR managers to establish and maintain relationships with all types of consumer and enthusiast media, and communicate on products, activities and events.
• Maintain and manage the reputation of the company as perceived by the general public through media.
• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with Activision Blizzard offices and Blizzard Global PR teams.
• Plan, prepare and execute media events and tours.
• Prepare official communication for general distribution.
• Coordinate and prepare interviews for approval.
• Respond to media requests and/or redirect them to the appropriate team.
• Coordinate and collate feedback and reporting from the country PR managers
• Provide regular press cuttings and reporting to Blizzard EU and Global management
• Organize and create pan-European printed and digital press assets

REQUIREMENTS

• Ideally experienced in the video games industry as a PR coordinator, journalist or other relevant field
• Relevant public relations, journalist or marketing qualification at degree level
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and at least one other European language
• Organized with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A strong motivation and high level of commitment
• Strong knowledge of and personal experience in playing Blizzard games
